There are two parts to the assignment - be sure to complete both of them

A : An Essay : on the history and spirituality of the Byzantine Church - to include monasticism, prayer, and icons, the work of Cyril and Methodius, relations with the Western Church, and the Fall of Constantinople.
The Essay should be two to three pages in length - you may have to consult sources other than the textbook

B : A Reflection Paper on the "Jesus Prayer" :

• Use the InterNet Resources to read about the "Jesus Prayer"
• For one day of this week, try to use it as part of your spiritual exercise throughout the day.
• Write a short (one-page) reflection paper on the Prayer and its use.
