REL 415 - Pauline Literature III
The Prison and Pastoral Epistles of Paul
Study Topics and Assignments
Week 1 - Introduction to the Course
For this Week you should familiarize yourself with the resources and tools you will be using during the course.
The Bible
It is recommended that each student use at least 2 different translations of the Bible which include the Apocrypha.
If a student has facility in another language besides English, it is good to read the Bible in that language also.
Students who are learning Greek should read and translate at least a few verses each day.
The Textbook
The Zondervan Illustrated Bible Backgrounds Commentary, volume 3 (Romans to Philemon), editor : Clinton E. Arnold, ISBN 0-310-21808-X, available in the ENMU Bookstore, or from general Bible Book Stores or suppliers
This is part of a set of volumes covering the whole of the New Testament. The full set should be available in the ENMU Golden Library. Volume 3 is also the textbook for the
course REL 406 - Pauline Literature I - which is given as an Online Course at other times.
The Library
Students who are at the ENMU main campus should familiarize themselves with the Golden Library.
Students who are beyond easy driving distance from Portales should locate and familiarize themselves with at least one local Library which they can use as a resource.
The Golden Library Web Site starts at
http://www.enmu.edu/academics/library/index.shtml
The Page for InterLibrary loans is at
http://www.enmu.edu/academics/library/services/ill/index.shtml
Turnitin
Students should be enrolled with
Turnitin © and should check their work for originality before sending it to the Instructor. A Turnitin score in the orange or red is an indication that much of the work is copied from other sources; it should be re-written in your own words before sending it to the Instructor.
Please contact Dr. Rollinson at rollinsondr@yahoo.com,rollinsondr@hellokitty.com,rollinsondr@mail2world.com if you have not received the Password by email, or if you have difficulty enrolling or working with Turnitin.
