- Note : the textbook takes the view that Paul was released from prison in Rome, then travelled around the Mediterranean, before being imprisoned once again and then executed. By this time scheme, 1 Timothy was written during the time between imprisonments, during a missionary journey which took place after the last records of the Book of Acts.
