Course Notes
  • Go here for General notes for this Module
  • Go here for Notes on the situation in Iraq
  • Go here for Notes on Asshur
  • Go here for The Jerusalem Forgery Conference - this is a very long and detailed report. You do not need to read all of it, but you should look at it to get an idea of the amount of time and work that dealing with possible cases of forgery entails

Discussion Board 3

Thread : Choose one of endangered Archaeological Sites in the Middle East or the Levant, and describe its history and importance for civilization. Why did you choose that particular site? What dangers does it face? What is being done (if anything) to protect it? What steps would you suggest should be taken to protect and preserve it?

Replies to 2 of your classmates' threads : If possible, choose Threads which deal with different Sites.
Do you have any additional insights as to how the Site could be protected and preserved?
